In this blog post, I am going to teach you some basics of how to use Copilot to create unique art for your scripture journaling. Copilot is a new app from Microsoft that lets you generate images using artificial intelligence. You can use Copilot to create  icons, illustrations, concept art, and more, just by typing a descriptive prompt.

Here are some steps you can follow to create art using Copilot:

  1. Download and install Copilot from the Play Store or the App Store. While it is free to use, you will need to sign in with your Microsoft account to access the full features of the app.
  2. Open Copilot and tap on the text box at the bottom of the screen. You can either type your own prompt or use the suggested prompts that Copilot provides. For example, you can type “a watercolor of Jesus standing on the shore of a beach” or use the prompt “a realistic painting of a man from ancient America kneeling in prayer”.
  3. Tap on the send button and wait for Copilot to generate four images based on your prompt. You can swipe left or right to see the different images. You can also tap on any image to enlarge it or save it to your device.
  4. If you want to refine or customize your image, you can type more details or instructions in the text box and send them to Copilot. For example, you can type “add a sunset” or “put the subject in a mountain field”. Copilot will try to follow your feedback and generate new images accordingly.
  5. You can also use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to access more features and options. You can tap on the star button to save your favorite images to your gallery, the share button to share your images with others, the settings button to adjust the app preferences, and the help button to get more tips and information.

That’s it! You have learned how to use Copilot to create unique art using AI. You can experiment with different prompts and feedback to generate different styles and effects.

Here are some examples of what copilot was able to create with my prompts:

Using the prompt, “a watercolor of Jesus standing on the shore of a beach” this is what was generated:

I then added to the chat box, “add a sunset” and this is what Copilot generated:

I started with the prompt,” a realistic painting of a man from ancient America kneeling in prayer” this is the image Copilot created for me:

I then added, “place the subject in a mountain field.” and Copilot generated the following image:

I hope you have fun creating art with Copilot! It can be so useful when you are looking for something specific. Happy creating!
